Turner Contemporary Trustee Vacancies
We are seeking to appoint a number of highly skilled and committed individuals to join the Board of Trustees of Turner Contemporary based in Margate, Kent.
Turner Contemporary is one of the UK’s leading art galleries, pioneering change by making the arts more vital and connected to everyday life. Turner Contemporary is a small charity that receives some public investment but relies heavily on fundraised and earned income.
Our work extends beyond showcasing world-class exhibitions, to driving the social and economic regeneration of Margate and East Kent and transforming lives in one of the most deprived areas of the UK.
We are looking for individuals with a passion for the visual arts, social justice and regeneration to join the board and support the work of the executive team. We welcome applications from anyone who believes they have something to offer and who could be an effective supporter. At this particular time, we are actively seeking trustees with skills and expertise in: all aspects of charity finance, fundraising, PR & digital marketing, commercial, legal and property matters.
Turner Contemporary takes promoting the equality of opportunity seriously and is committed to building a more diverse Board of Trustees. Following an Equity Diversity and Inclusion audit of current trustees, we would particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds, disabled applicants, younger applicants, and residents of Thanet and Kent communities. We are open to applications from those with experience on charity boards and from people for whom this would be their first trustee role.
