Tuesday 26 September – Thursday 12 October: The main galleries upstairs will be closed, but the spaces downstairs will be open

There will be limited access as our gallery team will be installing the autumn exhibitions Arp: The Poetry of Forms and Tracey Emin, 'My Bed' / JMW Turner, constructing and painting walls, and hanging the artworks.

Our café and shop will be open as usual, as will the Sunley gallery where you can make use of our reading area with books on Antony Gormley and Jyll Bradley. In the Sunley gallery you will also be able to watch a BBC Documentary on "We're here because we're here" by Jeremy Deller with Rufus Norris. 

You will be able to see Platform Graduate Award 2017Antony Gormley's ANOTHER TIME out on the sea shore, and Jyll Bradley's Dutch/Light (for Agneta Block) on our terrace.

Join our Gallery Assistants for a free Art Walk to see the artwork on display at the gallery and hear the stories behind them. Tuesday - Sunday, 11am, midday, 2pm, 3pm - Meet at the front desk.  


Thursday 12 October, 6pm - 8pm: Join us for the preview of Arp: The Poetry of Forms and Tracey Emin, 'My Bed' / JMW Turner

Vic Reeves will open the exhibition to the public at 6pm. Be amongst the first to see the exhibition. You can book your ticket in our shop or online here. Include a donation of £3 when booking your ticket to support Turner Contemporary's work making world-class art accessible to all.

Friday 13 October onwards: The main galleries reopen with Arp: The Poetry of Forms and Tracey Emin, 'My Bed' / JMW Turner

Arp: The Poetry of Forms and Tracey Emin, 'My Bed' / JMW Turner will open to the public and the galleries will resume their usual opening hours, Tuesday – Sunday, 10am – 5pm.
