Coronavirus (COVID-19): A Message from Turner Contemporary

Following careful consideration of the COVID-19 situation, it is with sadness that Turner Contemporary will be closed to the public from Wednesday 18 March 2020 until further notice. We will be reviewing the situation and will keep you updated. We have not taken this decision lightly, but the welfare of our visitors and staff is our top priority.

If you have booked a ticket to an event organised by Turner Contemporary, we will be in touch soon or please also contact us on info@turnercontemporary.org.

Find out more about our closure and plans here.

Information for this autumn

Turner Contemporary will be closed for capital works from Monday 7 September 2020 and will not re-open before the end of January 2021.

As you may be aware, the closure will facilitate a series of capital enhancements, as well as essential maintenance work, to the existing building. Following a period of scoping, research and consultation with industry experts and our visitors, Turner Contemporary is working with Kent County Council and Arts Council England. Kent County Council and Arts Council England are funding the works.
