Your donations matter

Our supporters are a key part of our gallery family. Their generosity sustains our work programming major exhibitions, supporting artists, and delivering a broad and ambitious learning programme that supports our wider community. Encouraging economic regeneration and increasing creative opportunities in one of the UK's most deprived areas.

I’m so grateful the Turner is in Margate. And such an accessible place to go and feel welcome.

Why give to Turner?

Over the last year, we have delivered creative sessions to more than 12,000 participants and welcomed over 320,000 people to visit our exhibitions for free.

And we want to continue bringing people, art, and opportunity together for years to come.

We're a charity

As a charity, we rely on public funding and donations to commission exhibitions, plan and deliver our learning programme, and cover the day-to-day costs of running a gallery.

We're free

We believe great art can connect and inspire communities. We’re based in one of the most deprived areas in the country, so by keeping admission and many activities free, we can welcome more people in.

We care

We’ve established partnerships with local organisations including Pilgrims Hospice, Arts Education Exchange, and Beyond the Page to run free activities and outreach programmes for vulnerable people. We also work with local businesses and tradesmen, using culture as a tool for regeneration.

I love the space here and the freedom it gives to the children. There are very limited free children’s groups in the area so we love coming to as many as we can.
