Supporting as an individual
Turner Contemporary is a remarkable gallery that opened in 2011 to celebrate JMW Turner’s unique connection to Margate.
As a registered charity (number: 1129974) we rely on donations and the support of many individuals. With the generosity of our supporters, we can :
- give free access to world-class art to all of our visitors – over 3.5 million to date
- create a welcoming space within our community and for people who have never visited an art gallery before – more than 50,000 in the last year
- engage adults, children and young people through learning programmes – over 100,000 people to date
- drive regeneration and contribute to the local economy – over over £75 million since 2011
Join in supporting us today and help create incredible cultural experiences.

A gift in your Will is the most enduring way you can support our work. This does not have to be a large sum: just 1% of your estate will help ensure Turner Contemporary is able to bring high quality art and creativity to Kent for generations to come.
We want to be at the heart of our community long into the future. It is only with philanthropic support that we can realise this amibition.
If you choose to include Turner Contemporary in your Will we would like to thank you personally and let you know what a difference your support makes.
