As guardians of the public interest, they oversee the gallery’s management and help us grow sustainably.

The Board is responsible for key decisions, from major acquisitions to funding allocations. They also champion Turner Contemporary externally, ensuring we remain a vital and inspiring part of Margate’s creative and cultural scene.

To support their work, the Trustees are joined by specialist committees and advisory groups.

In line with our values, we are committed to ensuring artist representation at the highest level of our decision-making.
