Join Talk Art's Russell Tovey and Robert Diament as they present Art School (in a Book), an exciting introduction to the world of contemporary art for young creatives.
Want to know more about art but don’t know where to start? Join us for the launch of Art School (in a book). A new book where you’ll get to discover some of the most exciting contemporary artist of today and find out what inspires them, how they work, and the meaning behind their art.

In this special event, Russell and Robert will help you discover the artist within you and how you can develop your own creativity. They'll be joined by award-winning illustrator Rose Blake for an interactive workshop inspired by artists from the book.
Art School (in a Book): A Future Artist's Guide to Contemporary Art is written by Robert Diament and Russell Tovey, illustrated by Rose Blake.
The book will be available to purchase during the event and the authors will be available to sign copies.
About the authors
Russell Tovey is a familiar face on TV and in movies, and in the art world as a curator, collector, and most recently a member of the jury for the Turner Prize and patron for the charity Art UK.
Robert Diament is director at the Carl Freedman Gallery and Counter Editions (a company that produces prints and multiples by leading contemporary artists such as Tracey Emin, David Shrigley, and Martin Creed).
About the illustrator
Rose Blake is an illustrator and artist who studied at the Royal College of Art. Her book A History of Pictures for Children (2018), written by David Hockney and Martin Gayford, won the New Horizons award at the 2019 Bologna Children's Book Fair.
