Have you ever played chess in an art gallery? We're hosting a free-to-enter rapid chess competition on the balcony.
Run by International Arbiter Alan Atkinson, the competition is for all levels, rated or unrated, with prizes for the top three players. We'll be playing a five-round Swiss unrated event format, with each player getting 15 minutes for all their moves. There are 40 places, so be sure to book your ticket in advance.
Prefer to watch? Spectators are welcome and we'll have open tables for you to play as well as keeping the gallery open for you to experience Anna Bohiguian's own take on chess, The Square, The Line, The Ruler. Ambiguous Philosophers/Ambiguous Politicians after hours.
To register to play, you'll need to select a 'Chess Competition' ticket. If you want to watch you'll need to book a 'Chess Night' ticket.
