His second work of creative non-fiction, the book blends reportage and memoir to explore the extraordinary hidden lives of ordinary people.

David Whitehouse
An award-winning author and screenwriter, David Whitehouse has published three novels. In 2022, he published his first non-fiction title About a Son, telling the story of the senseless murder of 20 year old Morgan Hehir based on diaries written by his father Colin.
Lisa Owens
Lisa Owens is a novelist and screenwriter. Her 2016 debut novel Not Working was a Radio 4 Book at Bedtime, and published in fourteen territories. Her second novel, Natural Disaster, will be published by Virago in 2026.
