Ocean with David Attenborough, Directed by Colin Butfield, Toby Nowlan, Keith Scholey (running time 1h 35m)

Co-produced by Silverback Films and Open Planet Studios, Ocean with David Attenborough showcases the wonder of life under the seas and exposes the realities and challenges facing our oceans as never-before-seen, from destructive fishing techniques to mass coral reef bleaching. Yet the story is one of optimism, with Attenborough pointing to inspirational stories from around the world to show that the ocean can recover to a glory beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen.

Seaweed Stories, Directed by Jake Sumner (running time 30m)

Narrated by Forest Whitaker, Seaweed Stories is a vibrant, global look at the wonders of seaweed, and some of the extraordinary stories and unique characters whose lives have been entangled by this often overlooked marine organism which may hold answers to some of humanity's biggest challenges.

EKC Broadstairs College Margate Digital Campus Student's Ocean Film, Directed by Jess Dadds (running time 10m)

Developed as part of Into Film’s Every Child a Filmmaker initiative. This programme supports groups of young people across the UK to create their own short films and share them on the big screen. Participants learn every stage of the filmmaking process, working collaboratively with professional filmmakers to build confidence, share their voice, and develop a deeper understanding of filmmaking.

One Ocean 2026 is a weekend of free talks, workshops and screenings on art, adaptation and the future of our oceans. Supported by the UK National Commission for UNESCO, Turner Contemporary presents a rich public programme of talks, documentary and artist film screenings, workshops and community activities. Through art, science and storytelling, One Ocean translates complex environmental issues into accessible, action-driven experiences.
