What will you draw?

We’ve transformed our Clore Learning Studio into a cabinet of curiosities full of inspiration and surprises to make drawing fun.

Generously supported by the De Ying Foundation.

Admission to Turner is free. A one-off or regular donation will help support artists to realise exciting new exhibitions and inspire over 300,000 children, young people and adults each year with free access to art and creative activities.

Drawing isn't just a skill — it's a powerful way to look closely, think critically and express yourself. Many artists use drawing to form and explore ideas. For the next twelve months we're filling the space with books, objects, curiosities and materials so everyone can get involved and discover the joy of drawing.

As well as the materials and activities in the space, we'll be hosting a range of workshops, family activities and events for those wanting to practice their skills or try something new.

A way to draw

Alongside our new Drawing Studio comes a new sketchbook full of tips, ideas and activities to help you develop your drawing skills in the studio, at home or out and about.

Designed and printed here in Margate, you can pick up a copy in our gallery shop for just £2.
