In this engaging 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of photography, how to use your DSLR or film camera, and uncover your unique creative voice. Whether you’re just starting or refining your skills, this workshop combines technical guidance with creative exploration—and plenty of hands-on experience.
What’s included
- Camera basics: Learn to use your DSLR or film camera (no camera needed, you’ll leave with worksheets).
- Photography techniques: Understand key elements of photography and how to capture compelling images.
- Discover your style: Study photos and explore books to reveal what resonates with you and define your personal vision.
- Create your vision board: Build a vision board to inspire and guide your future photography journey or career.
Who is this for?
Anyone 15+ who wants to take better photos—DSLR or film. No prior photography experience required.

- You don’t need to own a camera.
- All skill levels welcome.
- Bring creativity, a pen, photos you like, a journal, and an open mind!
- If you don’t have a laptop or iPad for the vision board, let us know—we’ll make it work.
About the tutor
Alanna Georgette — Photographer, Videographer, and Creative Director.
Alanna specialises in music, people, and lifestyle photography—working mostly with analogue to create timeless images. She has worked with Warner Records, Spotify, Sony Music, Atlantic Rcords, Chapel Down Wine and more, as well as big artist like YungBlud, Royel Otis, Dasha, Nieve Ella, Remember Monday and Scotty McCreery.

- These sessions are for people aged over 15 years old.
- Photography may take place during the event. Please make sure to indicate whether or not you are happy to be photographed on the sign-up form. If photography is taking place, we will let you know on the day.
