A day-long journey of herbal healing across three immersive sessions—deep listening and resonant sound from morning to night. Join one, or join all three.

Day to Night Listening is a three-part programme centred around restoration, sound and the natural rhythm of the day. Guided by Shai Space, each session offers its own atmosphere — from grounding morning practices to the expansive quiet of night.

Shai Space has grown out of a soulful, community-rooted approach to gathering — shaped through music, food and shared presence, and guided by the belief that intentional spaces can help people slow down and feel deeply.

Creating warm, intentional environments where music, wellbeing and community meet, their work blends deep listening, sound, ritual and sensory awareness to cultivate grounded, spacious experiences that support restoration and connection.

Rooted in practices that honour the body and its rhythms, Shai Space draws influence from herbal healing traditions of the global south and contemporary approaches to meditative sound. Their collaborations often merge art, culture and care, offering moments of pause within busy worlds.

Morning Herbal & Sound Workshop

11:00–13:00

Begin the day with a nourishing winter wellbeing workshop led by Earthchild Remedies. This intimate session explores the healing properties of herbs and plants, with a focus on how herbal allies can support the body and nervous system through the winter months.

You’ll expand your understanding of herbalism, taste a range of herbs, and create your own bespoke tea blend to take home. The morning closes with a deeply restorative sound bath hosted by Earthchild Remedies & Sami Hayes, offering a gentle settling of the body and a calm, open start to the day.

Earthchild Remedies is a London-based community wellbeing platform rooted in nature, ancestral plant knowledge and collective care. It’s led by Rebekah Williams, a herbalist and facilitator whose work centres accessible healing, connection to land and nurturing spaces for marginalised communities.

Tara Lily — Afternoon Listening Session

15:30–18:00

As daylight begins to soften, the afternoon unfolds with a 90-minute listening session from Tara Lily — the acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and DJ.

Performing a DJ set as part of her Shakti Jazz project, Tara weaves together Jazz and Hindustani Classical music, largely drawn from the Indian subcontinent. The session is designed for deep listening and slow presence, moving in conversation with the natural light pouring through the gallery’s ocean-facing windows — beginning in daylight and gently flowing into sunset.

An invitation to pause, observe and experience sound as a living, breathing landscape.

Tara Lily is a South London musician and DJ whose work spans jazz, electronica, trip-hop and alternative R&B, drawing from her upbringing in a British-Bengali household in Peckham and the wide range of sounds that shaped her upbringing. Alongside her records, Tara has developed a project called Shakti Jazz, where she explores the connection between ancient Indian musical ideas and spiritual jazz — letting both traditions breathe and find new forms. Tara’s presence as a live performer and selector is reflective and curious, inviting you into moments that feel soft, emotional and expansive.

Auntie Flo — Immersive Evening Listening Session

19:00–21:30

The day closes with a powerful, multisensory listening experience led by Auntie Flo — the renowned musician and DJ whose sound draws from Africa, Latin America and beyond.

Auntie Flo is a DJ, producer and live performer whose sets and music have taken him around the world. Through his Highlife parties and label, he has championed music that moves beyond genre, blending electronic, world and club influences into something warm and fulfilling. Over the last decade, he’s built a reputation for bringing rhythms and sounds from West Africa, Latin America and beyond. His work is rooted in openness, curiosity and the idea that music can bridge cultures, spaces and shared moments.

Known for his deep, worldly and rhythmic selections, Auntie Flo’s set is accompanied by live visual projections, created in real time in response to the music. Together, sound and image form an improvised dialogue — a slow-burning, immersive environment that encourages release, reflection and gentle movement.

This final session welcomes stillness and surrender, offering a collective unwinding as night falls.

Suitable for ages 18+

Please Note: The evening session will feature flashing lights.
