A multisensory therapeutic experience blending Ayurvedic wisdom with vibration-based sound technology.
About the Event
The Sonaform Frequency Lab is an immersive, exploratory therapeutic experience combining Ayurvedic science with sound-based technology to investigate how vibration, touch and resonance can support harmony within the body and mind.
Across two days, participants can book a 30-minute session to explore their unique energetic makeup (doshas) and receive a personalised vibroacoustic therapy experience. Using Sonaforms® — sculptural sonic furniture designed to let you “feel” sound through vibration — the session invites the body into a state of grounded awareness, softening physical tension while offering a new sensory way to understand balance and wellbeing.
This collaboration is led by Ayurvedic Practitioner Jodey Simmonds of Inner Farmacy and artist-inventor Dr Julie Freeman of ShapedSound. Together, they blend ancient healing principles with contemporary sound innovation to create an entirely new model of therapeutic listening and embodied research.

About the Facilitators
Dr Julie Freeman and Jodey Simmonds collaborate for the first time in this crossover between sound, data, ancient systems and embodied wellbeing. Julie, founder of ShapedSound, is a Margate-based artist, computer scientist and inventor of Sonaforms® — sculptural sonic furniture that invites people to feel sound through the body. Her work uses real-time data, natural systems and technology to craft immersive, tactile listening environments.
Jodey is the founder of Inner Farmacy, an Ayurvedic practice in Cliftonville rooted in women’s health, emotional balance and nutritional wisdom. A certified Ayurvedic Practitioner and 500-hour Yoga Teacher, she integrates herbal medicine, bodywork and yoga to restore harmony and vitality.
Together, they create multisensory environments that invite deeper listening — to the body, to the environment and to each other.
Accessibility
The venue is fully step-free and wheelchair accessible. A smaller Sonaform is available for wheelchair users, and another can be placed at table height. Seating can be rearranged as needed, aisles will remain clear, and lighting will be kept low without flashing or strobing effects. Only one participant takes part at a time (plus a carer if needed). No equipment or prior experience is required.
Participants sensitive to sensory stimuli are welcome to pause, stop or step away at any time; grounding support will be provided.
