Join us on 24 May for a yoga nidra and sound bath experience.
We invite you to release the upper layers of tension and mental noise through a multi-sensory sound experience, designed to gently quiet the mind and soften the body.
Sound therapist and multidisciplinary practitioner Eleanor Yankah leads the first of three immersive sessions, drawing on the science of resonance, harmonic entrainment, and sustained frequency to guide participants into progressively deeper states of rest.
Each session pairs a live sound bath—Himalayan singing bowls, crystal quartz bowls, gong, chimes, drone instruments, shruti, vocals, and more—with a complementary approach delivered by guest facilitators.
For this session, Eliza, founder of Rest Yoga will be leading the yoga nidra: a deeply restorative form of meditation experienced lying down. Through body scanning, breathwork, and visualisation, it offers a gentle pathway to release tension and still the mind. Interwoven with the sound bath, this is an invitation to soften, let go, and rest deeply.
Rest Yoga is a space dedicated to helping people learn to rest without guilt—born from Eliza's own experience of burnout and the restorative practices that brought her return to balance.
All sessions are 90 minutes, fully accessible, and open to all—no prior experience needed. Available exclusively through Turner Contemporary.
Dissolve is part of Slow Sundays—an ongoing series of immersive gatherings, wellbeing workshops and shared experiences. Rooted in Margate's history as a destination for wellness seekers, each event offers a gentle invitation to pause, be present, and explore with curiosity.
