A creative writing workshop exploring our relationship with the sea throughout the seasons

Writing the Tides: A Spring edition

Join writer Caroline Druitt for the final workshop in this seasonal creative writing series exploring our relationship with the sea throughout the year. Inspired by the energy of spring, the shifting rhythms of the coastline and the changing exhibitions at Turner Contemporary, this session celebrates renewal, fresh perspectives and new beginnings.

Through readings from a range of genres, visual artworks and guided writing prompts, you’ll explore the connections between observation, memory and imagination, using the sea and the surrounding landscape as inspiration for new writing.

New to the series? You’re very welcome. This workshop is designed to work as a standalone session, so there’s no need to have attended any of the previous workshops. Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning to continue your creative journey, it’s an opportunity to deepen your connection to place and discover new directions in your writing practice.
