Young Creatives X RNLI

Aged under 25?

Living in Kent/ Medway?

Like to express yourself, have things to say and want to take action?

Young Creatives is a free platform, offering young people under the age of 25 living in Kent and Medway the opportunity to get their art and ideas out in the world.

Celebrating JMW Turner’s fascination with the ocean and fondness of Margate’s light, we have partnered with our neighbours RNLI Margate Lifeboat Station.

We both look out onto the same view Turner painted in Waves Breaking on a Lee Shore at Margate (1840), an artwork which will be displayed in the gallery from April 2025 to April 2026.

The Brief

The RNLI are a FORCE, built from a team of courageous volunteers, who put others before themselves and ensure practice of sea safety is available for all.

We’ve partnered with our neighbours RNLI Margate Lifeboat Station and invite you to take action on this year’s theme FORCE. We encourage you to take a closer look at your surroundings, ask questions and find innovative ways to create a piece of art inspired by the theme.

Unlock your inner creative FORCE  and enter now for a chance to show the world your voice!

Deadline: Friday 9 May 2025, 11.59pm.
