Tamara Campbell
Tamara Campbell is a Jamaican-born explorer who has spent as much time travelling the world as she has been in her new home in Margate.
As a hiking and outdoors advocate, she often revels in the wonders of the natural world, spending time by the ocean, mountains and woodlands as she explores parts of the globe and cultures including Japan, The Atlas Mountains and The Italian Alps in 2024 alone.
When in Margate she enjoys a quirky but healing way of life alongside being able to indulge in her love of creativity, Arts and Community. She loves getting to know the queer community while volunteering and indulging in hobbies and activities Margate has to offer.
A TV and Film career has punctuated her creative education over the years. A sustained passion is maintained while working on short films and Margate Radio as current creative outlets. Her developing love of writing and desire to tell stories has inspired her to take the leap into new areas of expression with poetry, script writing and mixed media arts.
She has a varied background in creative and corporate, which might make a colourful ND CV but a steadfast desire to always have a foot in the world of community, volunteering and creation has led to being appointed to the community panel for Margate Creative Land Trust.
