Clore Learning Studio

The Clore Learning Studio is a bright, welcoming space on the first floor, next to the main exhibition galleries. Framed by floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Margate Harbour Arm and the sea, it's a place to pause, explore, and get creative.

Since November 2025, the studio has been home to Turner Contemporary's free Drawing Studio—a space where everyone is welcome to discover the joy of drawing. Filled with books, objects, and hands-on materials, it invites visitors of all ages and abilities to slow down, look closely, and explore ideas through making. Whether you're an experienced artist or picking up a pencil for the first time, there's no right or wrong way to take part.

The Clore Learning Studio is free to use during gallery opening hours and hosts a year-round programme of workshops, family activities, and creative events. Outside these activities, the space is also available to hire for meetings, workshops, and private or corporate events, offering an inspiring setting with panoramic sea views.
