Create your very own ‘carnival specs’ in this free drop-in workshop, which takes place just before the Margate Carnival Parade. Decorate your own glasses with cellophane and tissue paper in our shop area, ready for the carnival parade, which starts at Palm Bay at 2.30pm.
Margate Carnival is one of the biggest community arts events in the town and features local community groups, dance schools, youth groups, and businesses. Its origins date back over 120 years.
The Great British Carnival is a platform for excellence and ambition in Carnival and Outdoor Arts. They facilitate workshops to unleash the power of Carnival Arts to bring people together and create joy.
