For the opening of Beatriz Milazes: Maresias, Turner Contemporary have partnered with Margate Radio to programme DJ performances across the day.
From 2pm, we’ll be joined by The Spin host, Reggy Brown, before Alice Hollow Gold, host of Groove Talkin’ with Hollow Gold takes over late afternoon.
There will be a paid bar for drinks on the Terrace from 5 – 7pm. Entry is free. Optional pre-booking lets us know you are coming.
About the DJs
Reggy Brown
Reggy Brown, host of The Spin on Margate Radio, serves a curated set inspired by her LA Chicana upbringing. Showcasing root-driven genres; cumbia, surf psych, and classic Mexican rancheras.
Alice Hollow Gold
Hollow Gold (Al Shyy) is a maker based in Margate. Their Margate Radio show, Groove Talkin’ with Hollow Gold, features minority-forward tunes across eras and genres. Hollow Gold DJ sets feature groovin’ A-sides and B-sides by the seaside.
Margate Radio CIC is a not-for-profit community radio station based at Where Else in Margate, passionate about delivering creative and engaging content to showcase Margate’s brilliance.
