You are invited to the second Creative Isle Community Rail Partnership Biodiversity Stakeholder group.

This year the CRP plans to instigate a community garden or community growing project in or connected to several train stations in Thanet. It will exist as a resource for workshops, commissions and engagement around radical growing practices, foraging, permaculture and so on.

The projects direction will be initiated by a series of Stakeholder Meetings bringing together community groups and individuals interested in the project to flesh out our interests, aims and objectives which will look to inform the future direction of the project.

Through these discussions we will look to initiate community growing initiatives in or around the 7 stations on the Isle of Thanet whilst also considering creative interventions which will encourage reflection and activity relating to the benefits of biodiversity and positive impacts of growing practices on our everyday lives.

We would like to invite you, to discuss this community growing initiative and the potential directions it could take. We will reflect on findings from the first stakeholder meeting and what an artist designed garden can do for a community and how it can serve its environment.

Please join us at Droit House, The Pier, Margate, CT9 1JD at 3.30pm on Saturday 26th February.
