About the event
For the final weekend of the exhibition In The Offing (edited by Mark Leckey), Scratchproof Orchestra presents a live, semi-improvisatory music commission “A Tidal Mass”: Impromptu shanties from the deep: a panoramic sea happening. Sit amongst the musicians for what will be an immersive, one-off sonic response to the sea, the horizon and the offing.
“A Tidal Mass” features. Bianca Scout (voice), Miriam Adefris (harp), Magnus Westwell (violin), James Larter (percussion), Murray Collier (tape machine / fx) and HforSpirit (cello and harmonium).
Arrive at 4pm for performance at sunset (4:17pm)

Scratchproof Orchestra is an ever-growing collective of musicians – an amorphous, non-obligatory jam circle led by composer and cellist HforSpirit, a resident artist at Salford’s iconic music venue The White Hotel.
