Retail Assistant and Administration Support

£23,434 per annum pro rata

Part-time, 12 hours per week includes weekends and Bank Holidays (plus occasional extra shift opportunities for events and holiday cover)

Fixed-Term Contract for 6 months

Turner Contemporary is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and positive Retail Assistant to join our busy gallery shop, online sales team and provide support to the Head of Retail with administration duties.  Friendly and approachable, you will play a key role in the overall experience of all visitors to Turner Contemporary.

Whilst experience in a gallery or museum is an advantage, it is not essential if you have excellent interpersonal, organisational and customer-facing experience to ensure that all of our visitors feel welcome, engaged and keen to return.

Full training will be given, so retail or sales experience is not necessary but may be an advantage, as will an interest in contemporary visual arts.

The role will be based in the gallery and the working pattern will be flexible, with the requirement for some evening and weekend work as part of your shift pattern.
