Michael Landy CBE RA
Michael Landy CBE RA (born 1963, London) studied at Goldsmith’s College, London, in 1988.
Selected solo and group shows include: Firstsite, Colchester (2021); Riga International Biennial of Contemporary Art (2018); The Power Plant, Toronto, (2017-18); Museum Tinguely, Basel, (2016); National Gallery, London, (2013); Whitworth Art Gallery, Manchester, (2013), National Portrait Gallery, London (2011); and South London Gallery, London (2010).
His works are held in public collections including: Tate, London; the Arts Council England; Centre Pompidou, Paris; Museum of Modern Art, New York; Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia; Royal Academy, London; and Walker Art Center, Minneapolis MN.
Landy’s public commission Lemon Meringue was recently unveiled at East Bank, Stratford Waterfront in 2024. Landy was elected as a Royal Academician in 2008 and received a CBE in 2021. He lives and works in London.
