Individual and Joint Patrons

Individual: £1,000+ per annum (£915+ donation; £85 benefits)

Joint: £2,000+ per annum (£1,830+ donation; £170 benefits)

Patrons helped found the gallery and today help sustain our work. Their philanthropic support is motivated by their close affinity to the gallery. They play a vital role in helping sustain the arts sector, artists and the burgeoning arts scene in East Kent. We offer Patrons a close relationship with Turner Contemporary, giving them a gateway to accessing and understanding the art world. 

Patron benefits
  • Invitations to all main exhibition private views for Patron plus one guest; these include one of the following: VIP opening celebration; curator- or artist-led tour; or ‘in-conversation’ event with artist and/or curator  
  • Invitations to exclusive events for Patron plus one guest. These include: Meet the Artist; Studio Visit; Meet the Collector; Exhibition Visits; and the State of the Sector talks  
  • Regular Patron and Support Update email  
  • Advance booking periods for paid events (subject to availability)  
  • Advance notification of limited edition prints at pre-launch price  
  • Renewal and thank you letters from our Director  
  • Acknowledgement of one named supporter under Patron category through onsite donor wall and website supporter thank you page  

Director’s Circle

£5,000+ per annum donation (£4,750+ donation; £250 benefits)

Headed by Clarrie Wallis, this group of philanthropists have a closer relationship with the gallery. Their support plays an important role in helping Turner Contemporary achieve its ambitions. Aimed at people who feel closely connected to, and invested in, the art world. Through their support, they enable Turner Contemporary’s mission and values and our Director’s vision. The group gains an insider’s view of the gallery’s work.

  • Invitation to annual lunch or dinner hosted by the Director and an Artist 
  • Personal email updates from the Director twice a year

Creative Leaders Circle

£10,000+ per annum (£9,600+ donation; £400 benefits)

This group of individual philanthropists support artists and curators at pivotal moments in their careers, enabling them to stretch their practice and produce exciting new exhibitions, projects and commissions. Your donation contributes towards all of the gallery’s work and activities, which includes realising internationally-significant exhibitions, commissioning work from leading artists and delivering pioneering Learning programmes. Group members are engaged at the highest level and receive all Director’s Circle benefits plus:
