Join Turner Contemporary’s learning team for a teacher’s preview of our next exhibition, The Open, this October.

Date: Friday 22nd October, 2021, 6pm.

Teachers are invited to attend Turner Contemporary’s autumn teacher preview on Friday 22nd October. Join us to meet other teachers, find out about our learning programme for the exhibition, and hear about our upcoming Portfolio Art Competition. You’ll be some of the first to explore the show, and this will be a great opportunity to plan your next visit to the gallery and incorporate art into the curriculum. Light refreshments will be provided.

About The Open:

To mark 10 years of Turner Contemporary, this landmark exhibition features artwork submitted through an open call by artists throughout Kent and Medway. The work was selected and curated by four community groups: Age UK Thanet, Canvas 4 Equality, Margate Pride, and Turner Contemporary’s Access Group. Each of the groups will take over one of the four main gallery spaces and work closely with Turner Contemporary’s programming team to bring the exhibition to life. This exhibition will be a unique opportunity to view the breadth of creativity that our community has to offer.
